Pre-sale project for a family home in Fulham

Project overview

This was a pre-sale project for a family home in Fulham. The owners wanted the house to appeal to as many buyers as possible, so we tackled everything that looked tired or off putting. We cleaned the front and back gardens with a pressure washer, stripping away dirt, moss and algae. In the back garden, we also sanded down a wooden fence and repainted it to look fresh and well kept. We stripped old wallpaper from a child's bedroom and repainted it in a soft neutral tone to match the rest of the house.

The exterior facade needed proper attention. We repaired areas where paint had flaked off, treated rust stains, and removed white mineral deposits (efflorescence) caused by water seeping through small cracks. You cannot just paint over these - they come straight back. We treated them properly before repainting.

Inside, we worked through a long list of small jobs: replacing old silicone sealant in bathrooms, removing mould from grout lines, touching up cracked tiles, and fixing scuffed paintwork around light switches and door handles. None of these was a big job on its own, but together they made the house feel genuinely well maintained.

Before and after

Before our work, the house had accumulated a collection of small problems. The child's bedroom would have put off buyers who couldn't see past the wallpaper. The gardens looked tired, and the wooden fence in the back garden had seen better days. The facade had ugly patches of flaking paint, rust stains and strange white growths. After we finished, the house was completely ready for photos and viewings - neutral, fresh, clean and solid.
